We've been trying to explore more of our state during the pandemic and took a short drive to Oneonta to enjoy the views from Palisades Park. We also visited a couple of historic covered bridges nearby, the Horton Mill Bridge and the Easley Bridge. The Horton Mill Bridge, built in 1934, is the highest covered bridge over any US waterway. The Easley Bridge, built in 1927, is the oldest of 3 covered bridges,(Easley, Horton, and Swann) in Blount County.

Despite Covid, Fall soccer went on as planned. Sadie is playing U8 and is becoming quite the soccer star. She LOVES playing and is obsessed with soccer right now - and it's showing on the fields. Check out a few pics from the season and watch her highlight video below.

One activity we've been enjoying more in 2020 is Geocaching. Geocaching involves using a GPS-enabled app on your phone to hunt down hidden "treasures", usually located outdoors along trails and parks. We spent one afternoon at the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, just north of Birmingham, hiking and looking for geocaches. The kids love hunting down the caches and trading items in the caches, which usually contain small items like bouncy balls, plastic rings, stickers, etc. Enjoy the pictures.
