Colt: 20 Month Update

2011.06.12 021.tornadoreliefconcert

I know we are very late but its been a busy busy week getting back from the beach.  Here is Colt''s official 20 month update:  (you can see pictures by clicking the beach pictures above. Sorry, but he turned 20 months while at the beach people!!)

Talking:
Colt is really putting 2 or 3 words together well now to form a partial sentence:  "more fish",  "dad''s jeep", "more milk", "bye mamma", "bye dad".  He also now calls our name to tell us what he wants: "mom, mom, mom, mom - EAT!" or "dad, dad, dad, dad - POOL!", "mom, hairpane!" (aka - mom, there is an airplane, look!) , "dad, poo-poo!". He also says "uh-oh de-o" which is really uh oh, speghettio. (An update past his actual 20 month birthday but prior to me posting this: Colt said "love you mama" last night!!! Made my heart melt!!)

What he Loves:
THE POOL.  Jumping in the pool, climbing out of the pool, throwing balls in the pool, going underwater.  Playing our made up game - "hit ball".  Moonbounces, the park, sidewalk chalk, telling anyone and everyone "hey", any size or shape of BALL, dancing, bubbles. Sesame Street.

What he Hates:
When he can''t reach his ball, when you tell him "no", rinsing the shampoo out of his hair, when you won''t carry him on command, when he sees a banana and you won''t give it to him.

Stats:
Colt wears a size 4 diaper, mostly 18 month clothes and a size 6 shoe.

Doctors checkup:
No official doctor check up until he is almost TWO.

Other funny news/stories/events to remember:
Colt is starting to really like to "sing" and "dance".  One of his favorite songs is "The Wheels on the Bus" and he knows all the moves to it.  He also sings "E-I-E-I-O" and every single time buts a "boom boom" on the end. I also think Stan must have taught him how to do the snake.

We did see Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard perform at Birmingham''s Lynn Park a couple weeks ago - Colt really got his groove on! Click the above to see our pics.
