Stabler Trip 2012: The Great Smoky Mountains

The 2012 Stabler Trip took us to The Great Smoky Mountains. 19 of us made the trip and survived 3 nights under 1 roof. We stayed at a great 6BR room cabin overlooking the Smokies.
Day 1 took the Stabler clan to Dollywood, where everyone had a great time riding the rides, even Colt and Sawyer. After a long day of fun, we returned to the cabin to celebrate my Dad's birthday with burgers and cake. I think he enjoyed the opportunity to spend his birthday with ALL EIGHT of his grandsons!
On Day 2, it was off to Smoky Mountain National Park. We did some site-seeing and had a great family picnic, after which we all split up to do some exploring (or shopping) on our own. Susan, Colt, and I stayed in the park and visited Cades Cove. We were fortunate on our visit, as it wasn't overcrowded and we were lucky enough to see two bears! One of which even walked close enough to us that the park ranger told us to move back.
