Turks & Caicos Islands 2018 (Part 1)

In November, we visited the Turks & Caicos Islands for a week of fun and sun. We were really looking forward to the trip when a week before our scheduled departure we saw a potential hurricane forming! After a few days of worry, the storm fizzled out and we ended up getting about a half day of heavy rains our first day there. The rain would soon give way to the sun and our trip was on.

Day 1-2: Pizza, Pool, and Grace Bay

With the impending storm looming, we spent our first afternoon on Turks gathering supplies, grocery shopping, and relaxing by the pool at our rental home. The rains began around midnight and didn't stop until lunchtime the following day. Once the weather cleared, we headed out to Grace Bay Beach, one of the island's most popular destinations. We enjoyed a few hours of playing on the beach, collecting shells, and doing some light snorkeling.

After the sun set, we hit the house and had sandwiches for dinner before getting ready for our big boat excursion the following day. Check back in a day or two for the next round of photos!
