One activity we've been enjoying more in 2020 is Geocaching. Geocaching involves using a GPS-enabled app on your phone to hunt down hidden "treasures", usually located outdoors along trails and parks. We spent one afternoon at the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, just north of Birmingham, hiking and looking for geocaches. The kids love hunting down the caches and trading items in the caches, which usually contain small items like bouncy balls, plastic rings, stickers, etc. Enjoy the pictures.

We camped quite a bit more in 2020. In September, we spent a weekend camping at Oak Mountain State Park. We enjoyed cooking at the campsite, geocaching, hiking, and roasting marshmallows. We even had a trip to the ER for some stitches after Finley fell and hit her head on a rock. (She's OK!) Click the pic to see photos from a fun weekend of camping.

We've been spending a lot more time enjoying the great outdoors over the last year, whether it's hiking, geocaching, camping, or anything else, we always have a great time. Here are some pictures from a hike at one of the local state parks. Check them out!

It was a strange year to start kindergarten, but the kindergarten photoshoot tradition is covid-proof. Susan got some cute pictures of Finley as she prepared to begin her academic career. Enjoy the pics!

This school year has been a bit of a rollercoaster, alternating between full-time, virtual, and blended, but overall has been going really well. The kids do great with wearing their masks to protect against Covid. They were all excited to get back in school full-time - who knew they would ever complain about NOT being able to go to school! Check out the pics from the first day of this crazy school year.
